IPRO End State Renal Disease Networks

IPRO operates four of the 18 ESRD networks, Network 1 (New England), Network 2 (New York), Network 6 (South Atlantic) and Network 9 (Ohio River Valley). 

Each Network Organization is responsible for developing its own local objectives and goals that support nationwide priorities mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the legislative requirements of Congress. Each Network Organization is required to conduct specific contractual activities to improve patient care, maintain a patient registry, provide educational materials and investigate patient complaints. All ESRD providers are required to participate in Network activities and cooperate in achieving Network goals.

                                        ESRD Internship – Network 9 (Ohio River Valley) 

This individual is primarily responsible for providing support for the ESRD Network 9 internal quality improvement (IQI) processes. S/he will participate in the development and maintenance of IQI tracking systems related to facility and patient reporting. S/He will assist in the development of roll up reporting for these metrics to support the Network 9 quality and patient services team in analyzing and responding to the varied data sources in a uniform fashion. 


  • Assist Network in preparing internal quality reporting by:
  • Consolidating survey outcomes from a variety of data sources into a roll up report for each project.
  • Analyzing response rates to surveys and suggesting improvements to increase response rates or effectiveness of data obtained.
  • Create a sustainable means to consolidate survey data for future contract use.
  • Work with a variety of survey sources – Red Cap, Call Em All, Survey Monkey, Smartsheet to export responses to a central data base for analysis
  • Assist the Executive Director in the development sustainable IQI reporting system.
  • When appropriate, assists professional staff on Network projects, which promote the goals of the Network.
